Meet Chinzo Machida
Chinzo Machida, founder of the Machida Karate Headquarters, brings a wealth of experience and passion to the Machida Instructor Certification Program.
- Credentials: He holds a 6th Dan in Shotokan Karate and a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
- Experience: With over 30 years in martial arts, Chinzo has evolved as a practitioner, athlete, and head coach.
- Achievements: He has earned 13 Brazilian Adult Kumite Championship titles and was the runner-up in the prestigious JKA World Cup in 2006.
- Leadership: In 2009, Chinzo guided his brother, Lyoto Machida, to victory as the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, showcasing his leadership and expertise in martial arts.
- Current Roles: Chinzo oversees the Machida Karate Academy Headquarters in Lomita, CA, the Machida Virtual Dojo (Machida Karate online course), and the Machida Associations around the world, fostering a community of Machida Karate practitioners dedicated to excellence, that inspires others to become the best version of yourselves.
